NATHANIEL SESAY aka MASH P
Nathaniel Sesay aka Mash P is a musician and photographer from Sierra Leone, West Africa. After the conflict he lived on the streets of capital Freetown for 12 years. He found WAYout Arts 10 years ago where he recorded his first tracks and learnt photography. The stories from the streets, the gullyside, the gangs, the people, the joy, the poverty, became the theme of his music and photos. Mash P is currently in the UK on a Global Talent Visa, studying music production. He played at Glastonbury 2022 and 23, toured with Frank Turner and appeared at The Great Wide Open festival in the Netherlands. He was one of 6 finalists in the AHI international Creative of the Year Awards. He returned to Sierra Leone in 2023 to start his dream of opening an arts centre for other street youth in Taiama to give voice, skills and end digital excluson.
Nathaniel's photographs have been exhibited in London, Manchester , Bridport and the USA.
